These curricula focus on the key elements of refugee protection, ranging from the legal framework to refugee participation and solutions. It covers the principles, objectives and programme of action set by the Global Compact on Refugees (GCR) and allows participants to strengthen their teaching skills and capacity to develop training modules through sessions devoted to instructional design and learning methodologies (e.g. needs assessments, and identification of approaches, objectives, methodologies, and evaluations).

1st Thematic Course: Protection in Urban Settings

Laying on the framework set by the Global Compact on Refugees, the Course tackles the issue of refugee protection within urban settings, and it does so by identifying the challenges uprooted persons face in urban contexts. 2nd Online Course on Statelessness (Arabic)

The Course analyses the causes and impacts of statelessness, the overview of stateless populations around the world, including stateless children, and the interrelation between statelessness and forced displacement. It aims also at promoting the use and the implementation of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Global Action Plan to End Statelessness as part of the #IBelong Campaign.

El Curso ofrece un análisis detallado sobre los elementos claves que componen el marco jurídico de protección de los desplazados internos, así como explorar diferentes aspectos relacionados con el desplazamiento interno. Para ello, se indagarán las causas y consecuencias del desplazamiento interno, así como las tendencias a nivel subregional y los riesgos de protección a los que se enfrentan las personas que se han visto obligadas a desplazarse internamente.
