On Monday, 23 March, the President of the Sanremo Institute, Lieutenant General (Ret.) Giorgio Battisti, together with the Secretary‑General, Mr Gian Luca Beruto, and the Deputy Director of the Institute’s Military Department, Col. Géry Balcersky, met with H.E. Ms Isabelle Berro‑Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Principality of Monaco, at the Ministère d’État.
The meeting marked the occasion for the signing of a new partnership agreement between the Institute and the Government of the Principality of Monaco which, for the first time, has been concluded for a three‑year period. This represents an important milestone in a fruitful collaboration that has been ongoing for several decades.
The agreement reflects the enduring trust that the Principality of Monaco places in the Institute and in its mission to provide training and promote the principles of international humanitarian law and human rights. It reaffirms the Principality’s commitment to supporting the Institute’s activities in these fields and formalizes the partnership for the 2026–2029 triennium.
