Refugee Law and Migration Law Department – Registrations to the Online Courses are open for the first trimester of 2021!

Refugee Law and Migration Law Department – Registrations to the Online Courses are open for the first trimester of 2021!

Since its first Refugee Law course 40 years ago, the Institute has trained thousands of government officials, staff of international organizations and members of the civil society, including academics on International Refugee Law, Statelessness, Internal Displacement and Migration Law.

In 2020, to address the impact of COVID-19, the Department redesigned its courses and transferred its interactive teaching methodology and academic rigor into an innovative online format.

The online courses are hosted on the Institute’s Online Learning Platform, customized according to the needs of our participants, to ensure a quality training experience.

Given the increasing demand for our courses, in 2021, the Department will deliver 21 Online Courses in English, French, Spanish and Arabic (the 2021 Calendar of Online Courses is available here). These courses will be held at different time zones, to respond to the capacity building needs of participants from different geographical areas (information on time zones is available on each course page). The Online Courses are structured in four content-related weekly modules, composed by 2 to 3 live sessions (90 – 120 mins) per week and self-paced sessions.

The Department is pleased to announce that registrations are open for the first courses of the year:

Feel free to personally apply to the courses, by clicking on the links above!

IMPORTANT! Kindly note that, to ensure efficient planning and allocations of slots and scholarships, we would be grateful if candidatures could be submitted as soon as possible, and no later than four weeks prior to the start of the course. Due to the upcoming holiday season, kindly note that registrations for the two courses in January close on Friday 11 December 2020.
