Third edition of the G5-Sahel Course on IHL and Human Rights

On Saturday, December 11, 2021, the third course on Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law for the officers of the G5 Sahel joint force began at the Peacekeeping School in Bamako, Mali. Co-organized by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the International Institute of Humanitarian Law of Sanremo, this training brings together a wide range of expertise coming in particular from the French Armed Forces and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

It also benefits from the support of the European Union and the Austrian Ministry of Defence, without which this training could not have been financed.

Navy Captain Jean-Emmanuel Perrin, the Deputy Director of the Military Department, is particularly proud to have contributed to the organization of this training, the sustainability of which now seems assured.
