The Department of International Refugee Law and Migration Law of the International Institute of Humanitarian Law of Sanremo, Italy, calls for applications for the position of Project Assistant.
In partnership with the Global Protection Cluster since May 2021, the Department of International Refugee Law has been delivering online courses for the Specialisation Programme on Protection Coordination (SPPC). The Specialisation Programme on Protection Coordination is an inter-agency blended learning programme for coordinators, co-coordinators and local actors engaged in protection coordination in field operations. It is specifically designed and developed to strengthen the skills needed for effective protection coordination and to encourage collaboration between all Areas of Responsibilities (AoRs).
The incumbent will support the team with the preparation, organization and delivery of the Programme. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with solid interpersonal skills who shares the Institute’s values in promoting the respect for international law and safeguarding human rights.
Conditions:
- Application deadline: 15 February 2022;
- Starting date: no later than 1 March 2022;
- The incumbent can perform daily work remotely and may be expected to travel to Sanremo and Geneva upon request of the supervisor;
- Duration of the contract: The incumbent will be offered a consultancy contract with the International Institute of Humanitarian Law from 1 March to 31 December 2022, with a provisional period of two months. Subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance, the contract can be extended.
